Ultrasonic sensors allow non-contact detection of objects and accurate measurement of the distance from the solids, dust and liquids. The operation of this type of sensor works by sending and receiving sound waves in the ultrasonic range – object reflects sound waves, and then, on the basis of the time of flight of the wave, the distance is calculated.
