Polyacetal (POM) is one of the most dimensionally stable with a whole group of materials. It is characterized by high strength, toughness and rigidity. Moreover, thanks to a smooth and hard surface is ideal for the manufacture of components performing intensive work slide. Polyacetal comes in two varieties as POM-C and POM-H differ from each other mainly mechanical properties and resistance to hydrolysis.
Polyacetal is well suited for machining lathes and to perform precision mechanical components. Therefore it is widely used in industry to produce m.in .. gears, guides, slides, cams, bearings, valve seats, latching elements.
